Bio
Jose Balasta was born in Manila, Philippines, and currently resides in Phoenix, AZ. He has interned with various companies in different industries, such as the Global Guardian Project (e—publishing) and STARA Technologies (aerospace contractor). Jose has also completed an internship with Fingerpaint, a prolific healthcare agency. Jose worked for IRIS USA, Inc. as a Graphic Designer, working on e-commerce, marketing, and packaging collateral. He is currently a Graphic and Multimedia Designer for Cuningham.
Aside from digital work, Jose also has dabbled in traditional media with most pieces being oil and graphite-based. His works have been featured in GCC's annual literary and visual arts magazine, The Traveler, receiving honorable mention for painting in 2018, and 1st and 3rd place for graphic design in 2019. His work has also been recognized at the annual Phoenix Design Week’s Best of 2019 Design Exhibition.
In his free time, Jose loves biking (road and mountain), hiking, playing board games, and trying out new recipes. Jose also loves coffee and plays as a Leonin Paladin.
